Happy Republic Day :)

Whenever I try to recall my oldest memory of Republic Day then that comes out to be one When I was in Standing in front of the whole school, With my Shivering legs and trembling voice and then My voice suddenlyPankaj Blog stops because it didn’t know what it had to murmur next.. Tried to search the paper which My English teacher had given to me.. But as the climax scene It was not in my Pocket.. Wait for 2-3 mins then try to speak from my side leaving few lines and thats my last school speech.. But the best thing was nobody shouted at me later on.. Dats the thing I remember till date.. Well as a Child I was always confuse with the word “Republic” What it exactly means.. Though I was quite aware with the word Independence.. Gandhi JI with his fellow freedom fighters finally succeeded in moving the Mighty Britishers out of the country, and we got our Independence, But whats special with the word “Republic”.. For me at that time Republic Means an annual celebration in which students are given two Laddos though I always fought for four laddos because there are four Persons in my family..(Gud Logic) and the day on which we go in the school with a flag in our hand and rich children have a monogram of Tiranga on theirs blazer pocket too.. Dats why i always fight with my Father for the one on my Blazers pocket.. The best thing that I like about Republic Day is we have not to study on this day in our school.. Quite exciting we are going to school for something else..

But as soon as i got quite big I came to know its real meaning, This day has its importance since Lahore Summit where Pandit Nehru decided that every year we should celebrate this day as our Independence day. Though we got freedom on 15th August 1947 but even then King Goerge IV was the head of Nation.. Its on 26th Of Jan 1950, that our Constitution came into existence and So finally Its not on 15th August that we got our real Independence but on 26th Of Jan, And since then we peoples are taking breathe in the air which we proudly calls as ours.. We have our own rockets, satellites, finest educational institutions, plenty of food, plenty of industries, relatively low violence, huge foreign currency reserves, leading R&D institutes, a fantastic defence, a stable government and unparallel brains. And all this was achieved without force, without significant foreign help, and without any violent revolution.

Indian Constitution is the biggest Constitution in the world consisting of 444 articles, 12 schedules and numerous amendments.. B.R. Ambedkar is the chief person behind the framing of our constitution.

From struggle to freedom ….

From freedom to republic ….

and towards continual progress …..

That’s our India ….. Happy Republic Day!
