In corporate profession, It becomes very difficult to continue your hobby, but anyhow I continued reading, finished with “Wise & Otherwise” a beautiful novel on experiences of a typical Indian Lady, Sudha Murty and now reading “The Tiger, The Elephant and The Cellphone” by Shashi Tharoor. In fact Tharoor is my favorite Non-Fiction Writer. There is a similarity in both the novels. They both are depicting the typical Indian life. How we Indians can define ourselves.? Our nation is such a conglomeration of Languages, Cultures, Religion that this question of what we are has become unanswerable. How can one define a country that has 2000 castes and sub castes, 20000 languages and dialects and 3000 different ways of cooking potatoes.! For amid our diversities we have all acquired a sense of what we have in common, the assumptions, the habits, the shared reference points that constitute the culture. Here I’m trying to write the A-Z about India that from my point of view is common to every Indian.
